Ali Amundson

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Ali is a Southern girl at heart with a deep-rooted passion for hospitality. Her career spans every level of the industry, including roles as server, bartender, cook, manager, assistant general manager, general manager, sommelier, and food and beverage consultant. She has been part of the opening teams for more than ten restaurants, including her own concept, Uncorked Wine Lounge & Eatery. Ali and her husband successfully owned and operated Uncorked for 15 years before selling the business in 2021.

Ali’s passion for wine continues to drive her professional growth. Guided by her personal motto, “Start That Thing,” she earned her WSET Level 2 with Distinction in December 2021, passed the Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory Course in June 2023, and achieved her CMS Certified Sommelier certification in November 2023. She has also served as a judge for the azcentral Arizona Wine Competition for the past three years.

Ali is passionate about expanding people’s palates and introducing guests to wines and varietals from around the world. Her favorite regions include Spring Mountain in Napa Valley, Priorat in Spain, and Bolgheri and Sicily in Italy, with a particular fondness for sparkling wine. A proud Kentuckian, she is also a bourbon aficionado and collector and frequently travels throughout the United States with her husband on bourbon-hunting trips.

Outside of her professional life, Ali enjoys running, working out, cooking, and completing crossword puzzles. She values spending time with friends and family and has been married to her husband, Tim, for 21 years. Together, they share their home with four rescue cats - Max, Napa, Maya, and Matcha. Ali is a lifelong LA Rams fan and a passionate advocate for animal welfare.
