Emma Ryan

We are pleased to announce that Emma Ryan will join the racquet sports staff at The Country Club at DC Ranch. Emma brings over 25 years of coaching and playing experience to the team and will be involved with both the adult and junior programs.

Emma began playing tennis as a young girl in her native, Ireland, where she competed on the Junior Leinster squad for her country. After moving to the United States, she began her tennis teaching career at the John Newcombe Tennis Academy in Texas. After a few years training and teaching at the academy, she went on to teach in the Boston area for over 15 years and Colorado for four years. Her most recent position took her to Tucson, Arizona.

Emma has held #1 rankings in the singles Open, and Mixed Open divisions in the New England region for many years and she still competes in tennis tournaments, most recently becoming the National indoor singles age group champion in 2025.

Also, in her spare time, she is a competitive triathlete and trail runner. Emma competed at USA Triathlon Nationals in 2023 and competed at the Xterra ½ marathon trail running World Championships in 2025.

Most of all, she loves her time with her son, Kingston and their dogs, Kona, Kong and Kaia!

Emma will start on February 20 at the Racquet Sports Open House where members will get a chance to meet her and watch her participate in the tennis exhibition. She will be available for lessons and clinics beginning March 2, 2026.
