Max Davis

DC-divider
2nd Assistant Superintendent

Max was born and raised in Kennebunk, Maine. His family settled in Maine in 1650, and he is a 13th generation Mainer. Because of this, Max is a devoted New England sports fan, and especially enjoy watching the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots. Max grew up in a big hockey family--- he plays, his sister played, his cousins played, and his father was a coach for many years. From age 7 until age 22, his weekends were spent traveling all over Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island to play games. These experiences were very important to Max because many of the people he played with and against are still friends with Max to this day, and he learned many life lessons and formed many great networks.

Max has always been around golf as he is a member at a private club in Kennebunk Beach, Maine, and worked on the grounds crew at another private club in town called Cape Arundel Golf Club during his undergraduate years. It was there that Max fell in love with working outside on a golf course. After finishing his undergraduate studies at Hobart College in Geneva, NY, Max went back to school to get his Certificate in Turfgrass Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In total, he has been in the turfgrass and golf course industry for 6 years.

When not at the golf course, Max enjoys weight training, playing men's league hockey, and getting in a round of golf when time allows. He is also a very passionate "old soul" in regards to music, particularly all things classic rock, hard rock, southern rock, and blues, and he enjoys going to see many bands who will probably not be around within the next decade. Max is always interested in learning more about the local live music scene, so send good recommendations his way!
