Rall Elder

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, and raised in Plainfield, NJ, Rall began his professional journey by joining the United States Air Force at the age of 17, where he served for 10 years. Following his military service, he transitioned into the hospitality industry, starting his career at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale (now Grand Hyatt Scottsdale). It was there that he discovered a passion for hospitality and facilities leadership, quickly advancing through roles including Lead, Supervisor, and Chief Engineer before joining Hyatt’s development team.

Over the past 15+ years with Hyatt, Rall has supported hotel openings and led Engineering teams across the country. His first opening was Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Bungalows, followed by work at properties including Grand Hyatt New York, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, Andaz Palm Springs (now Thompson Palm Springs), Miraval Tucson, Miraval Austin, Royal Palms, and Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, among others. He also served as Director of Facilities for Civana Carefree during its post-COVID reopening and most recently as the opening Chief Engineer for The Global Ambassador, where his team played a key role in securing one of the first Michelin Keys in hospitality.

Outside of work, Rall is a proud father of four. His oldest daughter is a landscape architect in Houston currently working toward her design certification, and his oldest son is studying Marketing at Northern Arizona University. Rall and his wife also have three-year-old twins who keep them busy on weekends with park visits and family outings. In his free time, he enjoys training his nephew in boxing, and Sundays are reserved for family breakfast with their extended family.
